COVID-19 DONATION FOR NEEDY

In the middle of the pandemic, entire world can to standstill and majorly developing country like India got a huge set back. Migrant workers, laborers, people working in unorganized sectors were most vulnerable to financial crises. And majority of these comes from marginalized communities in India. People in many places were offering help to their fullest capacity and many small campaigns were run by many organizations including NGOs. Like others, Boston Study Group (BSG) also executed a project to help the needy ones in India by providing funds to grass-root organizations helping each and every affected person. “Pay back to Society” in which BSG believes is thought by our inspiration – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

EACH ONE REACH ONE – SMARTPHONE FUNDRAISER FOR STUDENTS

Pandemic has hit hard to marginalized communities in India. They dont even have access to basic needs unlike us and needs to cope up with life during this pandemic. The new trend of online education all over the world is one of the biggest hurdle for students coming from poorly background families. They cant afford smartphones to cope up with online education.

Boston Study Group (BSG) wanted to help those students by donating smartphones so as to gain access to online education. BSG raised funds for the campaign – “Each One Reach One” ran under the leadership of Dr. Sujatha Surepally – an Ambedkarite activist and social worker from Telangana state, India. More the 35+ smartphones were distributed to 3 Mandal’s (Ramadugu, Gangadhar, Choppadandi) and few to poor of poorest students in Telangana from funds raised by BSG itself.
